Fletcher is a local three year old boy from Torrox. Last August he was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour, on the 14th of August he underwent 7 hours of surgery to remove as much as the tumour as possible. However, this will only buy him time as the tumour will grow again.
Conventional radiotherapy can damage developing brains so Fletcher’s best chance is “proton therapy” and he has been offered treatment in the U.S. This will cost approximately 150,000 euros.
