Nerja has asked the Andalucian government to reconsider its blocking of the La Coladilla project which was to include Nerja’s only golf course.
The development was to include a five star hotel, 800 houses, the 18 hole course and was to be situated close to Nerja Caves, not far from Maro.

After an investment of 3.200.000 euros, the new underground car park near Verano Azul Park has opened and has 273 parking spaces, which in addition to the central car park means that over 1,000 parking places are available for Nerja visitors and residents.
During the opening ceremony, Nerja’s Mayor, Jose Alberto Armijo, has said that the next parking project will be for an underground car park in the Burriana Beach area.

The Mayors of Nerja and Torrox have welcomed the result of the environmental impact study for the proposed sports marina to be situated on the borders of the two municipalities.

The positive report has not been with out controversy, it was due to be concluded in November 2007, and the results were made known to the local PSOE party of Torrox, before official communication to the mayors involved.
